AAF Dallas Announces Dallas Shining Stars 2020 | Gala Set for September 3rd

The wait is over. We’re sorry for the delay! AAF Dallas is excited to announce who the top 20 women in Dallas advertising are!

AAF Dallas is celebrating the 4th annual Shining Stars awards program which honors top women in Dallas advertising. In 2017, we launched our AAF Dallas Shining Stars program to celebrate amazing women doing amazing things in Dallas advertising. Inspired after attending the Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame event, we googled “top women in Dallas advertising” and the result was “The 10 Most Beautiful Women in Dallas” instead of finding women who are producing thought-provoking and innovative work, breaking through barriers to create something new, or forging partnerships that drive growth. We believe ambition, work ethic, creativity, and leadership are qualities to celebrate and elevate. We believe when you get 25 incredible women in a room, great things happen. We believe it’s time that the nation recognizes our city as the talented advertising market that we are…and so the AAF Dallas Shining Star program lives on. See last year’s group here.

Your health and safety is important to us, we are currently postponing the Shining Stars event to Thursday, September 3. We have been working closely with the venue to ensure our guests safety is a top priorty. Currently (6/15/20) there is a limited number of tables of SIX(6 attendees) only with SIX(6) feet apart from each table. We WILL be requiring masks for all attendees (with medical exceptions) for this event. The venue has also increased sanitation and have committed to single use serving dishes. We will be serving plated dinners this year in lieu of action stations. Gloves and masks will be worn by all staff, but also available to guests if requested. Additionally, we will have a medical professional at the door checking temperatures. This event will only go if it is safe to do so. In the event that it is postponed again, we will let our Shining Stars and attendees know.

Dress code is semi-formal. Table reservations will begin on June 15, 2020. This event will have very limited capacity this year and has consistently sold out in years past. Therefore are no individual ticket sales at this time. We are currently only booking tables for our honorees and their companies at this time! Please register for our mailing list if you would like to be notified if individual tickets go on sale. In the mean time, one way to show support for your favorite Shining Star is to takeout an ad in this year’s book. AAF Dallas

The Dallas chapter of the American Advertising Federation is the oldest civic organization in Dallas and celebrated its 100th year anniversary in 2008. We are the only association that represents all facets of the advertising industry.

The birth of AAF Dallas can be traced back to 1908. During the past century, AAF Dallas has had a track record of making vital contributions to the local advertising community. Throughout our history, the League has worked with local advertising and city leaders to further the business of advertising and to provide personal and professional developments opportunities for our members.

AAF Dallas activities has been recognized nationally- we were the Division 1 (over 500 members) Club of the Year in 2010-2011 and in 2013 have been honored for our activities in programming, government relations, public service, diversity and multicultural initiatives, and communications.
