TRG and Purolator Launch Bold New “Keep it Purring” Campaign

TRG shares new work for Purolator, a product of MANN+HUMMEL, a global leader in filtration technology. TRG and Purolator have launched the “Keep It Purring” campaign, built to showcase power, precision, and a little attitude.

With more than a century of filtration expertise, Purolator is putting a new spin on clean performance. The campaign introduces a bold symbol of strength and smooth performance—a full-grown cougar—paired with seasoned actor Antonio Jaramillo behind the wheel of a vintage gold Nissan R32 Skyline GT-R. Together, they deliver grounded advice, a wink, and a growl to remind drivers that taking care of what moves you means no shortcuts.

At the center of it all is the new Purolator 20K premium oil filter, designed to deliver up to 20,000 miles before an oil change. The filter is available exclusively at Walmart.

The message is simple: Clean isn’t boring—it’s power, longevity, and confidence on the road. TRG’s creative gives Purolator a sharp new voice, with storytelling that connects the purr of a well-maintained engine to the brand’s promise of precision and performance.

Fun Facts and Behind-the-Scenes Note: the campaign was shot on location in sunny Orlando, Florida—home to Disney World, Universal Studios, and a sardine-loving cougar with a taste for clean engines and riding shotgun. In the driver’s seat is Antonio Jaramillo, known for Mayans M.C., Shades of Blue, and Savages. Behind the camera, German-born director Marc Schölermann of Untitled TV kept the action rolling and the crew safe from the cougar’s “murder mittens” (his words, not ours).

While Marc managed to dodge claws on set, he didn’t dodge the karaoke mic—delivering a surprise rendition of Total Eclipse of the Heart at a nearby bar to a stunned Universal crowd. Rumor has it even the cougar approved.

The campaign will run across connected TV, audio, streaming platforms, social media, and other digital channels, reinforcing Purolator’s commitment to power and efficiency under its new mantra: Keep It Purring.
