Plot Twist Creativity has been named one of 2025’s Ad Age Best Places to Work, an annual ranking of advertising and marketing companies that exemplify the industry’s best practices, from pay and benefits to corporate culture and leadership.
Ad Age revealed the rankings for Ad Age Best Places to Work on Jan. 27 at AdAge.com with a profile on each of the 50 winners, divided into two groups based on employee count. Plot Twist was one of 25 companies with under 150 employees to receive the honor.
Ad Age Best Places to Work 2025 honors 50 companies that did a standout job over the past year as the ad business met with the challenges of an unsettled economy, changing media market and a continued tight talent pool. The scores were based on employee survey responses on topics including pay and benefits, work/life balance, recruitment, and training/development.

“When we started this agency in 2021, we wanted to create an environment that combined the best things about places we’d worked before with some new things that were unique to us,” said Christopher Smith, Plot Twist co-founder and Chief Creative Officer. “This recognition is a nice indication that our experiment is working,” added Dave Kroencke, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer. ”To be included on this list after just four years in business is really gratifying and a great testament to our team.”
Ad Age produced Best Places to Work 2025 in partnership with Workforce Research Group, an independent research firm specializing in identifying and recognizing great places to work. The competition was open to agencies, ad tech firms, data and research firms, brand or corporate marketing departments or groups and in-house agencies of marketers.
