Indie holdco bets on Dallas-based creative and media agency’s ‘underdog’ culture to break into the region

Independent holding company Meet the People has secured a foothold in the U.S. South with Tuesday’s acquisition of the LOOMIS Agency, a Dallas-based operation. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Meet the People founder and global CEO, Tim Ringel, said the acquisition was a strategic move to add a hub for its network in the South with complementary capabilities to what it already owns. 

As part of the acquisition, Meet the People will also gain LOOMIS’ digital marketing arm, Iluminere, adding critical social-first creative expertise to its arsenal. 

“Texas is a market we really wanted, and combined with the skills that LOOMIS has across creative and media, it just made a ton of sense for us,” Ringel said.
