DIFF Shorts Film Festival

A Little Dramatic. A Little Silly. Very Serious About Shorts.

DIFF Dallas proudly presents the 3rd DIFF Shorts Film Festival, October 16–18, 2026, at Angelika Film Center & Cafe – Dallas in Mockingbird Station.

Three days of short films, filmmaker Q&As, panels, red carpets, and opportunities to connect with filmmakers and fellow film lovers — all centered around the art of short-form storytelling.

Why Bluebonnets?

Every year, DIFF Shorts takes on a new personality. This year, it’s the bluebonnet: iconic, a little wild, here for a short time, and hard to miss when it shows up.

We can relate.

Short films don’t need a lot of time to leave an impression. They can be strange, funny, moving, unexpected, or completely unforgettable — sometimes all in just a few minutes. Like bluebonnets, their time may be brief, but that doesn’t make the impact any smaller.
