Dallas-based independent PMG this morning announced a new commerce and retail “data connection” to its homegrown Alli operating system that it claims represents “a major tech milestone” for the fast-growing shop.
The connection integrates “Velocity,” a proprietary retail and media intelligence platform developed by Momentum Commerce, which PMG acquired earlier this year as part of its expansion into commerce media and marketing.
In a prepared statement, PMG Head of Commerce John Shea described the integration as a “leap forward,” touting it as “analytics that work at the speed of thought.”
When it was launched in June 2023, Momentum used the cartoonish image reminiscent of the bridge of the Starship Enterprise from sci-fi series “Star Trek” to depict it (see above), but readers can check out a free, publicly accessible version of the Velocity platform here.
The landing page loads an Amazon brand index for the teeth whitening category, but a pulldown menu enables public users to view other consumer brand commerce categories.

In this morning’s announcement, PMG touts that the platform as tracking more than 37 million products and 880,000 brands across Amazon, Walmart, Target, Instacart, and other retail platforms.
