Plot Twist Creativity Serves Up New H-E-B Work with Madisen Skinner

Plot Twist Creativity has debuted a campaign for H-E-B featuring University of Texas volleyball superstar Madisen Skinner. The promotion featuring three-time national champion Skinner was H-E-B’s first-ever NIL deal with a college athlete.

The campaign, which began running last weekend in the Austin market, was shot by Austin-based directing team Morgan & Nick with Camlock Films on the UT campus and featured members of the Longhorn Band and the University’s mascot, Hook ‘Em.

The production proved a logistical challenge for the agency and production company, who needed to accommodate Skinner’s busy schedule (she was in France cheering her sister on to an eventual USA Volleyball silver medal the day before the shoot), scout the massive campus for locations, recruit and coordinate band members and the mascot, and then shoot three TV spots and a season’s worth of social content in only six hours (during which the temperature topped 100 degrees). But the volleyball phenom also proved to be a natural in front of the camera and a pleasure to work with, and the shoot went off without a hitch.
