Teasers abound for this year’s Super Bowl and Frito-Lay is getting in on that action by bringing on major stars that include NFL players, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Matthew McConaughey, with help from Jimmy Kimmel and Mindy Kalig.
Frito-Lay will be running a multiple-brand spot for Tostitos, Doritos, Cheetos and Lays, featuring the most NFL players ever to act in a single commercial.
Ashton Kutcher stars in the first Cheetos teaser. He’s in shock after rummaging through a manila envelope whose contents include an empty bag of Cheetos Crunch Pop Mix. It ends with him saying, “I knew it.”
In the next Cheetos teaser, Mila Kunis is seemingly having a break down that turns out to be her acting in front of a mirror.
Jimmy Kimmel and Mindy Kalig are in on the Doritos teaser apparently introducing a #FlatMatthew/Matthew McConaughey character who has “a new look.”
This new 15-second Doritos spot includes a scenario with a mom watching her two kids play in their front yard, as a dog with a kite attached to its collar runs by. Apparently the kite is McConaughey, as we hear a familiar Matthew-type whistle followed by a call for help.
We don’t know what’s going on yet, but all of the Frito-Lay teasers end on a cliffhanger. It will all be revealed on February 7th, Super Bowl Sunday.
