Dallas-based ad agency, Plot Twist Creativity, recently launched a fun new campaign for H-E-B starring three players from the Houston Astros. For the last few years, the Texas grocery chain has enlisted the talents of three of the Astros players, Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and Carlos Correa, to help co-brand the Texas baseball team and the stores.
This year, after not shooting spots last year, H-E-B decided that instead of focusing on products, they would simply highlight their general brand. The result was four fun spots: “Ballpark Replica,” featuring the most amazing replica of the ballpark made entirely of H-E-B foods products, “Back to Baseball,” which pokes fun at silly things the players do off season, “Organ,” with a baseball organ sound playing at odd times, and last, but not least, “Superfans,” which sneaks a peak at how H-E-B partners watch the Astros game. Each spot has a fun gag or two.
And to top it all off, Alex Bregman made a TikTok video featuring his girlfriend and H-E-B’s guacamole.
