Iconic campaigns such as Don’t Mess with Texas, Southwest Airlines, Home Depot, Chick-fil-A, Dr Pepper, and FIAT’s branding rebirth took center stage at the Live from Dallas: Ideas Born in Texas podcast event, hosted by Fergus O’Carroll. Presented by TRG, the live recording offered more than entertainment, it provided a thoughtful look at the creative drive behind some of the most enduring and recognizable campaigns in modern advertising.
The event drew a full crowd and featured a panel of four industry leaders who shared insights and behind-the-scenes stories: Terrence Reynolds, Chief Creative Officer at TRG; Kate Rush Sheehy, Chief Strategy Officer at GSD&M; Derek Dabrowski, SVP and Head of Cold Brand Marketing at Keurig Dr Pepper; and Christopher Owens, Head of Brand Strategy at TRG.
All of these campaigns were born in Texas, where it became increasingly clear that the state’s distinctive attitude provides fertile ground for bold ideas and unrestrained creativity. The discussion underscored how Texas continues to shape the national advertising landscape, a place where originality thrives.
