Doritos Crash the Super Bowl Contest Has Finalists! Check Them Out & LOL!

Written by Guest Author

More from Chris Bellinger’s LinkedIn posts about the PepsiCo Foods’ Doritos Crash the Super Bowl contest:

“THEY’RE HERE!! Wanna see the semi finalists for Doritos Crash the Super Bowl? One of these will eventually be voted on by you to win $1,000,000 and air during the game as Doritos Super Bowl spot!

“Below is a small collection of a couple of the finalists (but not all of them) to give you a taste. LinkedIn wouldn’t let me load all of them! Check out all of them in all their glory one after another (in no particular order) here https://lnkd.in/gAdmTv7U

“We are putting the brand in your hands. We challenged consumers in September to see if they could do better than we could for the Super Bowl and they delivered thousands of ads! So thank you to everyone who put their time and effort into creating content, it was a blast watching them all!

“You would think after 10 years of selecting semifinalists for past Doritos Crash the Super Bowl would mean it would get easier…but not a chance. The team reviewed THOUSANDS of entries from fans and consumers that pushed the boundaries of creativity, ideas, humor, and genres.

“Thanks Variety and Brian Steinberg for the conversation about CTSB and the history of the program https://lnkd.in/guZr4DA7

‘So. many. different. genres. which was fascinating – there are some ideas and spots that you’d never think Doritos could work in and yet….they did, and they were good!

‘Starting next week, you’ll be able vote for your favorite out of the top 3 – helping pick the spot that will air during the Super Bowl and win $1 MILLION.

‘Check out the comments for the semi-finalists (again in no particular order) if you are lazy and don’t want to go the website but you should go to the website. throw some likes and comments on the ones you think will be the winners! (or just fan favorites)”

This one is from Nick Utter a Dallas-based DP.  He stated on LinkedIn:

“This year, we took part in Doritos “Crash the Super Bowl” contest!

With just 3 days to pull it all together, our incredible team created a 30-second spot we’re so proud of. While we didn’t walk away with the win, we advanced several rounds and had an absolute blast in the process.

We think the final piece is hilarious and wanted to share it with you!

Here’s to winning it all next year!”
