Unbelievable.
It really is.
Thinking back on all the moments over the last seven years that led us to becoming the agency we are today. In some ways, I wonder if luck had something to do with it. In others, it truly feels like the universe has been pulling for Arm Candy to succeed.
I’ve always believed in what we’re building, an agency built to deliver a rewarding experience for our people and quality for our clients. I’ve also always believed that how we get where we’re going matters more than the destination itself.
Reflecting on those beliefs today, it feels incredibly grounding to know they’re just as true now as they were when they first inspired me to start Arm Candy and that they continue to fuel my fire and purpose.
Advertising is a challenging industry. It can be frustrating, turbulent, and unpredictable. Without the right people, it can quickly become a journey where the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. I understand why so many are leaving the industry, while consolidation and automation dominate the agenda of many industry leaders. The fun and excitement that once defined this incredible industry is being automated into mediocrity right before our eyes.
There can be value created through those approaches if executed correctly but I remain unwavering in my belief that advertising is, at its core, a people-based business. The best agencies, the ones delivering the strongest experiences for their teams and the highest quality for their clients, will lean into their people, not away from them.
As I write this anniversary post, I’ve never felt more proud or more excited about our people and the agency we’ve built together. I feel incredibly blessed to be supported by some of the most caring humans and brilliant minds I’ve ever known. And I carry immense optimism and forward momentum as we head into what I truly believe will be our greatest year yet.
I once believed Arm Candy would succeed because of the quality of our product—our media intelligence technology, CYRIS; the way we steward investments to maximize client outcomes; and our data management solutions. But 2025 showed me I was incorrect in that assumption.
Despite offering what I believe to be the highest quality media services (yes, I may be biased), it is our culture (created and sustained by our people) that is our greatest differentiator today.
Our teams have built relationships, solved complex problems together, held one another accountable, learned from each other, and worked to better themselves and their teammates—all with the best intentions at heart.
Every day, our teams show up ready to make decisions in the best interest of their clients. I’m now fixated on the belief that it’s the thousands of smart, client-centric decisions made day in and day out, in true collaboration with one another, that drive the greatest impact. And dare I say, our teams are even having fun?
Thank you to our clients and partners who allow us to do our best work together. Without you, none of this would be possible.
We couldn’t be more excited to continue building and making magic happen, together!
