Enjoy the third teaser out of six Fantasy Advertisng ADDY videos shot by Rob Pritts of Lucky 21. Making fun of Kevin Sutton, Executive Creative Director at Moroch, and playing off his well-known good nature, the video spotlights Kevin’s previous 300 ADDY awards and his love for Jack Daniels and Coke.
AdChat DFW asked Kevin his take on the shoot’s concept and execution and he said, “This video in no way captures what I am about. There’s more to me than drinking Jack. There’s also baseball. Drinking Jack and baseball. That’s about it. Yet this video totally left out the baseball part.”
“It was a blast shooting it, though. The director, Rob Pritts, and the creative guys—Dustin Taylor, David Soames, and Ben Rucker—came up with a lot of ideas on the fly and we ran with them. You know how nobody likes hearing the sound of their own voice? I sort of feel that way watching this. But the idea for the entire campaign was to poke fun at the creative directors around town. And I’m always game for making fun of myself. There is a lot of territory there. It’s almost too easy.”
It looks like Kevin’s history of ADDY awards, his innate creative writing and his love of certain adult beverages, makes him another huge contender as a draft pick for the upcoming 2016 ADDYs Fantasy Advertising. Addy entry deadline is tommorow at 4pm. See details.
