Tonic is simple in its story, but complicated in its execution. We follow Sebastian Poe, a low-life, drug-addled pianist who frequents numerous bars and music venues in a seedy part of town. We’re a fly on the wall with Sebastian every step of the way through his surreal, overnight odyssey. Poe is desperate to pay off his debt to a drug dealer, but he’s got to kill someone to break even.
Sebastian’s a normal guy with a simple life; he can be selfish, an anti-hero, but he’s not a killer.
Or is he?
