Avocados From Mexico (AFM) based in Irving, Texas, was born in 2013 as the marketing arm of two organizations that represent the Avocados From Mexico business in the United States. It was formed as a not-for-profit organization charged with the purpose of coordinating the marketing activities for the Mexican Hass Avocados Importers Association, MHAIA and The Association of Growers and Packers of Avocados From Mexico (APEAM).
Ivonne Kinser, Head of Digital Marketing for AFM, has created many successful digital strategies including Avocadoland, a series of videos that transport the viewer to the magical land of Michoacan, Mexico, where AFM Hass avocados bloom and grow year-round. The videos earned the brand over 4 billion impressions. Other marketing initiatives have included a chat bot that communicates directly to the consumer while shopping, and Super Bowl strategies that placed the brand in the top 2 positions in digital engagement for the past 5 years.
