The AICP Commercial Production Training Seminar in Dallas will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 22nd and 23rd.

The location for the Dallas seminar is Air Studios: 922 Dragon St., Dallas, TX 75207.

The AICP Production Training Seminar is an in-depth series of sessions that offers a detailed examination of commercial production taught by payroll and production professionals selected because of their expertise.

The seminar occurs over a weekend (Sat 9-6; Sun 9-3).  The students come from small and large companies and also many are freelance.

Registration is limited to 30 students and tuition is $400.00.

COURSE OUTLINE:

Crew Labor and Unions
Basic employer obligations, right-to-work, independent contractors, union vs non-union, collective bargaining agreements

Partnering with the Production Co Financial Dept
People – Requirements and documents related to crew and employees
Things – Documents and requirements related to places and things
Knowing your reporting requirements for employees and independent contractors
Legal issues, Production Insurance and Insurance certificates

Details of the bid form

The level of detail and specifics of focus in the sessions above varies according to the experience level of the students.

Live-Action from Boards to Broadcast
A specific live-action job is examined from agency story boards to the completed spot.

Digital from Pitch to Delivery
A specific digital job is examined from initial pitch through delivery.
