Hot Chicks Chicken, the latest concept in Nashville-style hot chicken has made its debut in DFW. The fast-casual restaurant founded by Sam Sameni and his partner Shaul Sultan, was launched during the pandemic, when many of their nightclub locations were forced to close down.
It was a serendipitous moment. The chicken recipe that Sameni developed himself, had enjoyed prior success served up at their clubs and also in take-out, so when the pandemic hit, it was the perfect time to expand the concept. The restaurant group plans an aggressive and rapid expansion in the DFW metroplex, with six openings planned for 2021.
Sameni employed Fortunato, a Dallas-based advertising agency, to create “hot” branding content that reflects the varying degrees of spicy heat offered on their menu, including the crowd favorite, Hot AF. All content reflect the hot concept, from the wall menus down to the napkin holders on the tables.
We had the opportunity to chat with Sam Sameni…who is so busy he conducted the interview in his car…and also Rodrigo Maycotte, Creative Director over at Fortunato. Together they share the story of this very fun and apparently very addictive chicken.
