You Win if You Don’t Quit
Wow! I’m still reflecting on last week’s Open House & overwhelmed with gratitude at everyone who showed up and shared such kind words about the space.
It’s wild to think that this journey began back in 2019. Four years is a long time to devote to one project, especially while juggling our regular work. Reflecting on the countless micro-decisions that went into finding, designing, building, and decorating the space, I’m reminded of the old saying: “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” That’s exactly how we did it—one day, one decision at a time. And now, here we are, not only enjoying the space ourselves but watching other creatives and entrepreneurs thrive here as well.
While that’s the practical side of the story, the real credit belongs to God. The journey to create this space was filled with what I can only describe as compounded miracles—each step built on faith, each challenge met with unexpected grace.
If you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, please stop by! I’d love to show you around.
Why Salt FW? Here’s a quick backstory: for over a decade, Diesa and I were searching for more than just a building—we wanted a place that felt like home for Nametag Films. When we finally found this 6,000 sq. ft. historical gem in 2019, we knew it was different. The address, 911, holds personal significance; it’s both our wedding anniversary and a reminder of more challenging times. Construction kicked off in 2022, and after a journey filled with planning, grit, prayer, and perseverance, it became something more—a creative community. Salt FW Collective isn’t just a workspace; it’s a collaborative space where creatives, filmmakers, and entrepreneurs can come together, grow, and support each other.
Thank you to all our clients, crew, church family, EO’ers, and friends for being part of this dream.
