Written by Mod Op

Acquisition Enables Mod Op to Expand Service Offerings and Grow Into the B2B Market

Mod Op, a digital marketing agency with offices across the U.S. and Panama, has acquired Dallas-based integrated marketing communications firm MCC, to expand its offerings to better support client needs in both the B2C and B2B markets.

Based in Miami, and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, Portland and Panama City, Panama, Mod Op delivers creative and strategic solutions for well-known brands like Avid Technology, Baha Mar, Fender, Hudson Pacific Properties, Marriott, Microsoft, Nike, Visit Florida and Warner Brothers.

“Mod Op is constantly looking for new opportunities and potential future acquisitions to continue to provide the best services and skilled professionals to support our clients’ needs,” said Eric J. Bertrand, CEO, Mod Op. “With MCC’s expertise added to Mod Op’s, we are ideally suited to help our clients evaluate and transform their digital ecosystems to provide value where it’s most needed.”

As an integrated agency, MCC’s experienced team delivers complementary services to further expand Mod Op’s portfolio of offerings for clients including digital media, media relations, social media strategy and marketing, and more. With its centralized location, Mod Op’s new Dallas office perfectly positions the agency to provide comprehensive services to companies across the U.S.

“This acquisition provides tremendous benefits for both MCC’s clients and our team,” said Mike Crawford, former president, MCC. “From enhanced service offerings for current and future clients, to tremendous growth opportunities for employees, we are excited about our future as Mod Op.”

Mod Op Dallas will operate out of MCC’s current office location at 12377 Merit Dr., Ste. 800, Dallas, TX, 75251. The addition of MCC’s personnel and client base brings Mod Op’s new employee count to more than 130, and expands the agency’s portfolio to include clients like ITC Global, Lone Star Analysis, SpotSee, Stream, Texas Instruments and more. As part of the transition, former MCC president Crawford will join the Mod Op board of directors.

During the process, Mod Op was advised by Reid and Riege, P.C., while MCC was advised by Moody Law Group, PLLC. Additionally, Benchmark International served as the investment bank for this acquisition.
