Earlier this year we posted some amazing footage from the “Mobot”, the motion-control-robot brainchild of Michael O with Noonday Pictures. If you missed it, you can watch it here.
It was so fascinating we decided to shoot and Editorial Spotlight and interview Michael O (Oleksinski) about the who, what, and whys of his building this unique computer that can shoot digitally at lightning or extremely slow speeds while having the flexibility to shoot on x-y-z axis.
Michael O stated, “If you look at most food commercials they are pretty boring, except in Europe and I’m trying to add the spice of design to it. Every shot takes technical expertise to pull off including custom rigs and a lot of engineering. Fortunately that’s what I like to do!”
