September 13: ‘Prisoners’, directed by Denis Villeneuve, screens followed by an exclusive Q&A session and hands-on hair and makeup workshop led by Mowat.
Donald was nominated for an Academy Award for having led the Hair and Makeup department on Denis Villeneuve’s ‘DUNE: Part One’. He is also known for having worked on Marvel’s ‘Moon Knight’, ‘First Man’ dir. by Damien Chazelle, ‘Nightcrawler’ dir. by Dan Gilroy, ‘Blade Runner 2049’ dir. by Denis Villeneuve, and way more.
On top of his Academy Award Nomination for his work on Dune, his accolades include three British Academy Film Award (BAFTA) nominations, a Primetime Emmy Award, two Saturn Awards, and a record-setting ten Make-up Artists & Hairstylists Guild Awards nominations. He secured the award twice, for Prisoners (2014) and Nocturnal Animals (2017). His mastery has left an incredible mark on films including ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’, ‘The Fighter’, ‘Sicario’, ‘The Departed’, and many others.
