Booker T. Washington art students at work on this year’s charlietango chalkboard
charlieuniformtango, a full-service film and post production company, with studios in Dallas and Austin, regularly invites junior and senior art students from Dallas Arts District neighbor Booker T. Washington (BTW) High School for the Performing and Visual Arts to refresh the Dallas studio’s centerpiece chalkboard with new artwork.
“We enjoy encouraging the talent of our young Dallas Arts District neighbors by showcasing their work on the large chalkboard that’s a focal point in our Dallas studio,” said James Rayburn, charlieuniformtango President/CEO. “We’ve been featuring the artwork of Booker T. art students for years now. The project allows the students to create a theme and then design and produce the artwork. We always look forward to seeing what they come up with!”
“This ongoing project is a great opportunity for our students to create real artwork for the real world,” said Krystal Read-Segner, BTW HSPVA Assistant Director of Programming, Visual Arts Conservatory.
“The kids love doing it, and we love the practical experience it gives them. Plus, it’s valuable work for their portfolios.”
