Henry Thomas Attends DIFF for Special Screening of E.T. and Honors John Williams
Actor Henry Thomas, best known for playing the role of Elliot in E.T the Extra-Terrestrial, was in town to help The Dallas International Film Festival (DIFF), celebrate a special screening of the movie and also the career of John Williams. William is an award winning composer known for iconic movie scores for E.T., Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark and numerous others and has been awarded five Oscars, two Emmy’s, three Golden Globes and eighteen Grammys. Prior to the screening, Dallas Winds conducted a special concert in honor of the composer. Mr. Thomas also conducted a Q & A for the attending audience. The event was a nod to DIFF’s association with the American Film Institute during the first few years of the film festival, as Williams is this year’s AFI Life Achievement Award honoree.
Henry sat down with AdChat DFW to talk about his memories of playing Elliot, the endearing boy who won the affection of E.T., the extra-terrestrial, and also won the hearts of moviegoers worldwide.
