The free business workshop series, Green Lights & Red Flags: FTC Rules of the Road for Business, turns to Texas — virtually — for its next stop. Focused on trending topics in truth-in-advertising law, social media marketing, data security, business-to-business fraud, and other business basics, the workshop will take place on Thursday, June 24, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Central Time, online from Dallas.
Designed for business owners, advertising professionals, attorneys, and others who need to know how established legal principles apply in today’s fast-moving marketplace, the program will offer practical insights from Texas business leaders and recognized experts in consumer protection law and cybersecurity. Acting FTC Chairwoman Rebecca Kelly Slaughter will deliver opening remarks.
The FTC’s Southwest Region, the American Advertising Federation of Dallas, the Better Business Bureau Serving North Central Texas, the Dallas Bar Association Antitrust & Trade Regulation Section, and the Thurgood Marshall School of Law are co-hosting the event. An application for a total of 4.00 hours of Continuing Legal Education credit for Texas attorneys — including 1.00 hour of ethics and professionalism — is pending.
The Dallas program continues the popular business workshop series that the FTC has held in past years with regional partners in cities across the county. Space is limited on the virtual platform so register early(link is external) to reserve your place.
