From Ian Loomer:
Hey DPA!
As we have officially closed out 2025 and look to 2026, I wanted to take the time to reflect on my journey with the DPA and all it has done for me personally and professionally.
I signed up for the DPA listserve when I was 19, eager and excited to get into the industry I loved so much. Through emails and events, I built a network and gained valuable experience that led me to some of my earliest jobs, and a big chunk of my professional and personal life today exists because of the DPA.
In 2020, I was excited to join the board, and we all know the challenges that season brought. What I saw up close was a community that kept showing up. We adapted, we supported each other, and the DPA not only rebounded but continued to grow every year.
Now, with new film incentives, the DFW production community has significant momentum across corporate, advertising, film, and TV, and the DPA, yet again, is at the heart of that energy.
Since 1978, this organization has been powered by volunteers. That volunteer grit is our DNA. To leverage and focus that grit further, and add a professional operational face to what we have been building, we are introducing an Executive Director. I’m excited to have been part of the team that brings this next step to fruition. Stay tuned for those announcements in the coming weeks.
As I close out my term, I’m excited to welcome the new officer team, effective January 1, 2026:
President: Joshua Wethington
Vice President: Kelli Ann Pistokache
Treasurer: Ardis Campbell
Joshua joined the board with me in 2020 and has been my Vice President and a steady partner throughout. Kelli Ann brings an incredible care for the community and a desire to help us uplevel and upskill. I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ardis for over a decade, and she is exactly the kind of leader you want helping guide a growing organization. The DPA is in excellent hands, and I can’t wait to see what the next two years hold.
Thank you to the outgoing officers who carried the load with me: Joshua Wethington, Ashton Campbell, and our admin, Laurel Wilson.
And thank you to our board for the time, effort, and heart you’ve brought over the past two (or more) years: Ardis Campbell, Jina Lund-Bosak, Glenn Bradley, Jerry Maynard, Christopher Bigbie, Kelli Ann Pistokache, Larry Rodriguez, Bill Schwarz, and Jack McRoberts.
Most of all, thank you to the members. You’re the reason this works. You show up, you help each other, you hire each other, you share your knowledge and skills, and you keep building a real production community in North Texas.
I’m not going anywhere! I’m excited to sit on the board and support this new set of officers and board members. I love our production community and will continue to champion for you and the DPA every chance I get.
I’ll see you at the next event, still cheering loudly for what’s ahead.
Warmly,
Ian Loomer
Outgoing President, Dallas Producers Association
