AAF Dallas Advertising

Updated Plans and Sanitized Hands | Shifting AAF Dallas

Written by AAF Dallas

Dear members, friends, sponsors,

After much thought, AAF Dallas has decided to cancel all in-person events until Spring 2021 this includes postponing our Shining Stars event scheduled for September 3.

AAF Dallas was founded in 1908 to be the unifying voice of advertising and to elevate the industry both locally and nationally. In the last 112 years, we’ve largely been an event-based organization and this pandemic has forced us to be introspective about our purpose, mission and responsibility towards our members and potential attendees to our events.

We believe now more than ever in our mission of elevating and unifying the voice of advertising.

Our new board of directors (See pic below. We’ll be introducing them on social media and email soon) is actively planning virtual experiences for you such as:

  • continuing education that focuses on actionable changes our industry needs to make in recognizing the importance of diversity, multiculturalism and belonging,
  • giving back to our community through our skills and resources, and
  • developing the future of our industry and world through our education initiatives.

We recognize that the industry’s needs are changing day-to-day and week-to-week, so we’ll be sending a series of surveys and polls for you to let us know what you need and expect from AAF Dallas and all its board members. Expect the first survey next week. Please take the time to fill out these surveys because we are here to listen.

If you have suggestions or concerns please feel free to reach out to us at allison@aafdallas.org

Thank you,

Jorge Rosales, 2020-2021 President of AAF Dallas
