Meet Fred Poston, TXMPA’s New Deputy Director
Fred, a native Texan born in Austin, grew up in Houston and currently resides with his spouse in San Marcos, TX. Check out his incredible experience below…
Fred is an accomplished International Production & Operations Media Executive
with experience managing 100 media brands in over 40 countries in 20 languages. His career has been primarily based in Los Angeles for more than 20 years, along with long-term assignments in Washington D.C., Miami that included oversight of Latin American operation offices in Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico as well as an assignment based in Singapore overseeing Asia Pacific operations.
Most recently Fred was Vice President, Operation Services with Viacom/CBS (CBS
Division) overseeing Visual Effects/Virtual Reality, Guest Relations and CBS Television City Studio Production Scheduling, Union Administration, B2B Web Design/Hosting, Production Health & Safety, and Real Estate.
Prior to CBS Fred worked with multiple media companies that included Discovery Communications, Reelz Channel, TV Guide, Disney/ABC, Fox, and Warner Bros. Responsibilities have included Broadcast and Cable Network start-ups, live and recorded television production, multi-platform content production, content distribution, as well as functionality requirements for new technologies and strategies to determine how these technologies integrate into existing
processes and workflows.
In addition to his successful corporate media career, Fred is also President & Co-owner of AIX Companies, which included AIX Media LLC and AIX interests, Inc where he is applying his expertise and wisdom by partnering with executive leadership on challenges and key initiatives that require expertise beyond the normal scope of day-to-day operations.
This is accomplished through drawing upon his experiences from his entertainment media career which includes start-ups, media management/distribution, technical and production space planning, studio management, technology, and employee development to create unique solutions for executives’ challenges in today’s demanding ever-evolving business climate.
Meet Ian Loomer, TXMPA’s New Technical Consultant
Ian is a native Texan from Fort Worth then off to Dallas now residing in Frisco. He is a creative operational executive with over a decade of progressively broader experience in media, broadcast, XR, and virtual production industry.
Through his company, Modern Creative Ops, consults with SMB’s and enterprise creative teams on everything from workflow processes/automation, XR storytelling and virtual production, and studio design and build.
He bridges gaps, from financial to creative to operational, to implement solutions and create an exceptional production experience for internal teams and their clients and stakeholders.
He also serves as the President of the Dallas Producers Association, founding member of the North Texas Creative Syndicate, and the hospitality coordinator for the Oak Cliff Film Festival.
When not working he loves to spend time with his family, attempting to craft the perfect cocktail, or doing his best Ron Swanson impression.
