The Barber Shop Marketing Receives Best In Show Davey Award from the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts

Named Winning Entries for one of the Top Small Marketing Shops Worldwide

The Barber Shop Marketing  was honored with the coveted Best In Show Award for Integrated Campaign Promotional/Branding for the Cottonwood Art Festival 50th Anniversary by the International Davey Awards, the leading awards competition specifically for smaller agencies. In addition to this award, The Barber Shop received a silver award for their Website promoting Mountain Time Ski Expo.  The winners were announced by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts. With nearly 3,000 entries from across the US and around the world, the Davey Awards honors the finest creative work from the best small shops, firms, and companies worldwide.

The Barber Shop Marketing creative team, led by David Adkins, is responsible for the innovative creative in the winning categories.

The Davey Awards exclusively honor the “Davids” of creativity, the finest small shops, firms and companies worldwide. David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock – the sort of thing small agencies do each year. The annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the “Creative Davids” who derive their strength from big ideas rather than big budgets.

The Davey Awards are judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), a 700+ member organization of leading professionals, from various disciplines in visual arts, dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. Current membership represents a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms.

“We are proud to once again showcase the outstanding work that comes from small shops across the globe. The Davey Awards recognize those who utilize flawless execution, groundbreaking technology, and a fresh approach to the thought process to produce top-tier content” noted Derek Howard, Executive Director of the AIVA. He added, “On behalf of the Daveys and the Academy, we want to applaud this year’s entrants for their dedication and commitment to their craft. We offer our congratulations once again to those selected as winners as they truly embody the spirit of the award.”

Amy Hall, owner of The Barber Shop Marketing, said, “The Davey Awards represent the creative ability of our team as well as the innate collaborative spirit we have with our clients at The Barber Shop. The recognition by such an esteemed organization as AVIA feeds our collective commitment to our clients while we push our own creative strategy forward.”
