Tandem Theory Clients Earn Top Honors at DFW AMA Awards

Tandem Theory, a Dallas-based firm specializing in data-driven customer insights and custom marketing solutions for leading consumer brands, is proud to share the news that four of their premier clients swept the honors at the recent Marketer of the Year Awards, presented by the Dallas chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA). Executive leaders representing Cicis Pizza, Rent-A-Center (Upbound Group), and Ruby Tuesday were each singled out for their stellar marketing campaigns and overall contributions to the industry.

Three of Tandem Theory’s client representatives were celebrated with winning the Marketing Maverick Award, bestowed upon those who exemplify the innovation and forward-thinking vision of the Dallas marketing community. They include Sarah Philips, VP of marketing for Upbound Group, Maria Trujillo, SVP of marketing for Cicis Pizza, and Kevin Fitzpatrick, SVP of digital and performance marketing at Ruby Tuesday. The top honor went to Ann Davids, chief marketing officer at Rent-A-Center, who took home the CMO of the Year Award.

Each of the award-winning executives has been a longtime partner with Tandem Theory leadership, and Rent-A-Center recently celebrated their 25th consecutive year working with the agency. These long-standing relationships are a testament to the agency’s relentless commitment to driving results for client success — a commitment that has led to the agency’s success in return. Under the direction of the exact same leadership team, Tandem Theory has earned a spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies for the past four consecutive years.

The theme for this year’s Marketer of the Year Awards was “Forward Growth,” which emphasizes the collaborative and unifying power of marketing in Dallas’ vibrant and thriving business community. The gala and awards banquet took place at Vouv Event Space on the evening of Thursday, June 6. Nominees were evaluated in five specific categories, including Campaign of the Year, CMO of the Year, Marketing Mavericks (only 10 selected), Agency of the Year, and Collegiate Excellence.
