Greg Sunmark recently finished work on two multi-spot, bilingual Snickers campaigns for both the regular bar and the new Nut Brownie bars. He worked with Austin-based THIRD EAR, providing editorial, sound design, color, compositing, finish, and even a short piano track entirely from his home studio in Oak Cliff.
“It was a blast to get to work on so many fun little comedic moments, and I love that I had the opportunity to do so much more than creative editorial,” Sunmark said.
There were several spots in each campaign, all in both English and Spanish as well as multiple lengths and aspect ratios. “There was quite a bit to deliver,” he said, “but a forgiving schedule and the amazing team I worked with made it a breeze.”
After the lockdowns started last year, Sunmark began upgrading his home studio to better accomodate remote projects. A key piece of functionality he added was a more robust remote connection that allows him to switch seamlessly between a webcam and an SDI signal coming out of a color-accurate broadcast monitor.
“It’ll never take the place of everyone sitting in the same room,” he said, “but it definitely makes Zoom sessions more seamless, accurate, and efficient.”
