GoDo Discovery Co. has teamed up with Fletcher’s Corny Dogs’ Fletcher Feeds, Baldo’s Ice Cream and Coffee, and Mrs. Texas International to bring awareness to Summer hunger among DFW kids and raise donations for CitySquare who aggressively works to combat the issue.
• 89% of the children in DISD qualify for free or reduced meals, during the summer they have limited access to proper nutrition. – CitySquare Food
• 6 out of 7 hungry kids don’t get the summer meals they need. – No Kid Hungry
Starting at 11 am and ending at 2 pm only on Friday, July 12 at 4827 Memphis Street (near Inwood & I-35) the group will hold a lunch time fundraiser serving Fletcher’s Corny Dogs and Baldo’s Ice Cream with all donations going to CitySquare. To learn more, click here.
GoDo Discovery Co., a creative agency with roots in Dallas since 2006, is hosting the event at their office site and has immersed their business in supporting organizations that exist to support others.
The agency has a deep understanding of the effects poverty has on the community. Through its GoDo Good initiative, GoDo has donated their services for the past 3 years to Café Momentum, a Dallas-based restaurant and culinary training facility, that transforms the lives of at-risk youth who have spent time in juvenile facilities. Many of these kids are victims of poverty, which includes hunger. Part of GoDo’s business is to connect like-minded brands to initiate impact and the Doers Dive-In event is a continuation of that mission– to serve the community and raise awareness for the underlying issues challenging Dallas– in particular hunger.
Fletcher’s Corny Dogs will stock the event and will attract local Dallas foodies because we all know that Fletcher’s corny dog in July is a total treat! And as it’s no secret that Summertime is HOT in Dallas, Baldo’s Ice Cream will be supplying some icy treats to cool down our lunchtime guests!
