Dallas’ Johnson & Sekin Named AOR for Rice’s Honey

Rice’s Honey, a leading producer of local raw and unfiltered honey, has selected Dallas independent Johnson & Sekin as its first-ever advertising agency of record following a formal nationwide review.

Johnson & Sekin was founded in 2009 by Dallas creative veterans Kent Johnson and Chris Sekin, and has been AAF Dallas’ most awarded agency over the last four years. In 2017 alone, the agency’s work has been recognized by American Advertising Federation, American Marketing Association, Lüerzer’s Archive, Logo Lounge, Texas Monthly and the National Down Syndrome Society. It was also named to Ad Age’s 2017 “Best Places to Work.”

Rice’s Honey was founded in 1924 by L.R. Rice, who sold his high quality, raw and unfiltered honey door to door and at farmer’s markets throughout Colorado. Today, the company has the largest network of local beekeepers in the US, and produces clover, wildflower, amber and 16 local varieties of honeys from around the country.

Current clients for the Johnson & Sekin include the American Heart Association, Baylor University Chili’s Grill & Bar, Caliber Collision, Dallas Cowboys Merchandising, Dallas Zoo, non-profit Meat Fight and Pizza Inn.
