AMS Pictures, a Dallas based creative media company, has just finished putting the finishing touches on a new Food Network show called Dallas Cakes. The saying is everything is bigger in Texas and that’s certainly true of the concept and production in this new series. The ten half-hour episodes include three over-the-top bakers who conceive, create and deliver tasty works of art using cake, frosting and their imaginations. From an impressive Game of Thrones wedding cake complete with a dragon cake topper, to a 47-inch tall cowboy boot, nothing is impossible in this series that begins airing Monday April 30th at 10:30/9:30C PM on the Food Network channel.
Season one features the following bakers from the Dallas area: Bronwen Weber of Frosted Arts Bakery, Roshi Muns of Society Bakery, Jamie Holder of Crème de La Crème, Elizabeth Rowe of The London Baker, Heidi Allison of Sugar Bee Sweets and Dylan Humphrey of Kool Kakes by Dylan, which is in Tyler, not DFW.
Randy Martin, Director for AMS, stated, ” From History Channel, Reelz, Discovery’s Velocity, HGTV, PBS, Cooking Channel and now, Food Network, AMS Pictures has been creating long-form broadcast for almost a decade. And this new series really takes the cake (yes, pun alert.) Our uber-talented team have put in some crazy long hours but the reward: cake, cake and more glorious cake. Coming down from the sugar high, well, that’s another story”
