1820 Productions partnered with the teams at Raben and Links2Equity to create the launch film for the Raise the Volume campaign from AlzInColor, a national initiative focused on increasing awareness around the disproportionate impact Alzheimer’s and dementia have within Black and Latino communities.
Directed by Korey Miller, the two-minute film unfolds through parallel family stories that reflect the lived experiences of both communities while reinforcing the campaign’s central message: encouraging families to speak openly about brain health and support one another. The film moves between two family stories, blending the worlds of both communities while honoring their cultural nuances through thoughtful locations, art direction, and the natural use of dual language within the Latino household. The film was also intentionally structured so each narrative could stand on its own as targeted 30-second pieces, allowing the campaign to reach audiences in a way that feels personal while contributing to a larger national conversation. Anchored by strong performances, cinematic visuals, and a subtle musical thread that echoes the idea of “raising the volume,” the film serves as a powerful centerpiece for the campaign.
