The 56th Annual USA Film Festival has confirmed that Brandon Routh, star and executive producer of Out of Order, will join the film’s director, Guy Jacobson for the film’s screening on Saturday, April 25th. Routh will participate in red carpet entrances prior to the Spotlight screening of Jacobson’s madcap legal comedy, in which he stars as a young New York lawyer who ends up working for two opposing law firms, inexplicably representing both sides of the same case. The film also stars Brooke Shields, Sam Huntington, Sandra Bernhard, Luis Guzman and Krysta Rodriguez. He will also join writer/director Guy Jacobson to present the film and participate in a post-screening Q&A.
The long-running, year-round USA Film Festival has an established history of celebrating films ranging from art-house fare to mainstream crowd-pleasers, and joining Routh on the red carpet that evening will be Jacobson, Academy Award nominee Lesley Ann Warren, Katie Cassidy (Arrow), and Jon Keeyes, representing their film, Speed Demon, Pulitzer Prize finalist and filmmaker Rosanna Xie (Out of Plain Sight), No Limbs No Limits inspiration subject Nick Vujicic, and director Sascha Just (What We Can Know About Edmond and Basille).
Routh is perhaps best known for playing Clark Kent/Superman in Superman Returns (2006), and his indelible performance as one of Scott Pilgrim’s most challenging rivals in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. He further solidified his comic book/geek fanbase with his role as Ray Palmer/The Atom in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
The 56th Annual USA Film Festival runs April 22-26, 2026 at the Angelika Film Center Dallas. Schedule and other information may be found at usafilmfestival.com.
