Texas-based production company Maker Table is thrilled to announce the addition of 5 creatives to its director roster for branded content and commercials.
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome a ton of new talent to our team,” says Maker Table Head of Production Grant Wakefield. “Their work captured us with it’s strong narrative and visual direction. The diverse skill sets and perspectives that each of them bring to the table will help us really take our company to the next level.”
Maker Table was founded in 2015 and has since grown to be one of the leading production companies in Texas, creating award-winning films and commercials for global brands like Nintendo, Budweiser, and Pizza Hut. Maker Table’s original content has played at festivals around the country and even premiered at San Diego Comic-Con, and the branded content they create often blurs the lines between the two.
After years of growth, the company is adding a batch of new voices to keep up with their clients needs and push the envelope of creativity. Joining co-founder and genre/comedy director Ryan Polly on the roster is Texas-born and LA-based director Nolan Goff, NYC-based director Kaitlin Scott, and Texas natives Matthew P. Rojas, Matt Black, and Jonathan Mendoza.
NOLAN GOFF has created dynamic commercial campaigns for the world’s foremost lifestyle brands — including Nike, Lululemon and Lebron James’ sports nutrition brand Ladder. Most recently, his multi-layered storytelling for Nike’s 2019 Air Max campaign brought together a wide range of his cinematic influences, blurring the line between Amblin-like nostalgia, neo-noir influenced music and setting, and ‘The Twilight Zone’. Maker Table is excited to bring on Goff to specialize in lifestyle and sports/fitness projects. Watch Nolan’s work here.
KAITLIN SCOTT is a director that creates content that speaks to authenticity. After studying Fashion Design in TX and Design Process in Paris, Kaitlin made her way to the director’s chair. Her work displays a mixture of influences; a textural warmth from her hometown paired with the grit and vibrancy of her current residence in Brooklyn. Scott has an eye for color, texture, and visual structure in her film work. She is currently in post-production on her debut feature, titled Central Standard. Watch Kaitlin’s work here.
MATTHEW P. ROJAS has created cinematic content for some of the world’s biggest brands– Walmart, ESPN, and 7-Eleven just to name a few. He has a gift of telling stories that hook viewers through beautiful imagery and relatable themes. On every set, he carries a checklist – Is it authentic? Will it move the audience? As long as the answer is yes, it’s in the can. Highly proficient in executing a specific vision through to the end project, Rojas has a keen talent for creating moods and atmospheres in his cinematic visuals. Watch Rojas’ work here.
MATT BLACK believes in the power of stories to build bridges and tear down walls. He’s attracted to passion – working with people that need to share their story. Black has managed to gather a few honors through filmmaking, including festival awards and two Emmy wins for his short form documentary work, and is constantly honored to be able to help others tell their stories through excellent, dynamic, human-centric commercials and documentaries. JONATHAN MENDOZA is a multi-faceted director, editor, and designer focused on creating highly stylized, mixed-media work. So far in his short career, Jonathan has worked with brands like Nike, Youtube & Toyota, as well as influential clients like Gateway and Elevation church. His projects heavily feature kinetic motion and beautiful animations over live-action footage. Watch Jonathan’s work here.
