JANIMATION RELAUNCHES WEBSITE WITH INNOVATIVE NEW DIRECTION

Janimation, an award-winning turnkey production studio has relaunched its website with an innovative new UX. Features include a deeper navigation, a major expansion of original content and a comprehensive search page.

The newly relaunched site offers an extensive visual library of Janimation’s work. Content is categorized into five main verticals for ease of browsing. Game, Commercial, Corporate, Character Design and Live Action are the initial vertical portfolios, but a more comprehensive search can get the user to the type or style of work they are looking for quickly and easily.

The new ‘Studio’ section of the site, is also image-driven. It offers a deeper look into the facility, the talent, some of the fun hijinks the Janimation team is known for as well as behind-the-scenes glimpses of happenings at the studio. Clicking on a particular image provides a closer look through video, photography, illustrations and blog style thoughts & comments.

The Janimation team took a very forwarding thinking approach to building the new site. They focused their efforts on developing and fine-tuning the website so it would be compatible with the latest iOS and Android platforms.  Google’s Chrome browser was selected by the team as it provided the most robust desktop experience possible.

“The new interface is based on tomorrow’s user, not yesterday’s. The scroll feature implemented is similar to the navigation of most mobile and social media sites. Speaking of, our mobile site was where we began our design process. Our clients spend a large amount of time on their mobile devices and we wanted to give them the ability to easily find and review exactly what they need from our studio,” said Janimation’s CEO, Steve Gaçonnier.

“This launch is HUGE for us”, said Janimation’s Senior Creative Director and Partner, Greg Punchatz. “We have some amazing work and I am excited to share what the studio has recently created.
