About Nick Vlahos Nick Vlahos is the Chief Executive Officer of The Honest Company (NASDAQ: HNST), which was launched in 2012 with a mission to inspire everyone to love living consciously.

Nick, who is also a member of The Honest Company’s board of directors, is responsible for overseeing the Company’s continuing accelerated growth agenda with a focus on innovation, retail distribution, digital marketing and global expansion. Under Nick’s leadership, The Honest Company recently became a public company and received a near $2B valuation on the day of the initial public offering.

Prior to joining The Honest Company, Nick served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Clorox Company, where he was responsible for approximately $3B in sales for the company’s Household and Lifestyle segment, as well as direct responsibility for five Global Functions: Sales, Marketing, R&D, I.T. and Product Supply. Nick was instrumental in driving domestic and international growth at Clorox for major portfolio brands such as Burt’s Bees, which he built into a global leader in the natural personal care industry with a presence in 40 countries. He also previously held the role of Vice President – General Manager of Laundry, Brita and Green Works.

Nick has served as a guest lecturer on Consumer Products Strategy and Operations at Harvard Business School, The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is currently a Board Advisor for Tillamook Dairy and also sits on the Board of the Consumer Brands Association, the national trade association for the consumer packaged goods industry in the United States.

ExxonMobil has endowed the lecture series through a grant to SMU’s Temerlin Advertising Institute. The grant supports SMU’s goal of expanding its emphasis on ethics not only in its diverse undergraduate and graduate programs but in events offered to the public.
