My drive to create this course comes from a frustration of seeing so many gimmicky products marketed on social media to budding editors (flashy effects, transitions, an overabundance of LUTs, etc). In my opinion these things may add to an edit, but they don’t help serious editors build fundamentals that will land them jobs.
So you want to learn how to edit video? Great! Video is so integrated into our society that I personally feel it’s a great skill learn for anyone to learn. If you find you’re like me and love to edit, it also makes for a fulfilling career.
The end goal for me is to create advanced courses in Premiere and Resolve teaching workflows and concepts that young editors aren’t taught in school, but need in the agency and studio world.
