North Texas Veterans Film Festival September 6 – 8 showcasing 3 feature films with military veteran filmmakers in attendance
The Dallas Film Society and Veterans Institute for Film & Media will host the North Texas Veterans Film Festival September 6 – 8 at Studio Movie Grill, Northwest Hwy. The event will showcase three incredible films by outstanding filmmakers focused heavily on the aftermath of war and what it takes for many who serve to reestablish life as civilians. The three films chosen to represent this first NTX VetFest are awarding winning films and the filmmakers will be in attendance to discuss their work following each screening. This is a unique opportunity to experience the art of film with the filmmakers combined with the focus on veterans.
“These are award winning films and could play any festival in the country. We felt they deserved to be spotlighted in their own way so we created this unique event to share these stories. This also gives us an opportunity to shine a light on VIFM as our second class of veterans begins their training on September 10th.” – Johnathan Brownlee, CEO & President – Dallas Film Society
