CHILANTHROPY – DREAM Fund Partners with Janimation to Host Annual Chili Cookoff!

DREAM FUND TO PARTNER WITH JANIMATION TO HOST ANNUAL CHILANTHROPY CHILI COOKOFF!

New this year! -­ Event will benefit both DREAM Fund and the North Texas Food Bank.

DALLAS, TEXAS — September 24th, 2015

For the first time DREAM Fund and Janimation will join forces to host a mega Chilanthropy Chili Cookoff Competition event benefitting both DREAM Fund and the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB). The event will take place Saturday, November 21, 2015 starting at 10:00 am at Janimation, 4000 East Side Avenue in Dallas, Texas. Janimation is a Dallas-­‐based turnkey production studio with over 22 years of experience in video marketing, live action production, visual effects, CGI, 3D and 2D animation, stop motion, motion capture, motion control and more.

It will be a fun day full of cooking, tasting, music, fun & games, camaraderie, libations and philanthropy as DFW’s best advertising agency, public relations and media professionals fiercely compete to see whose chili will reign supreme. And all for two great causes, DREAM Fund and the NTFB!

Founded in 1991, by Shirley Ward, DREAM Fund provides financial assistance and emotional support to advertising, public relations and media professionals whose lives have been impacted by severe hardship. DREAM Fund has chapters in five states, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. They help 40-­‐50 people each year.

“The DREAM Fund Chili Cook-­‐off is one of our premier and last fundraising events of the year. It is a celebration filled with fun, excitement and family … and great Chili! We celebrate all our volunteers, the companies who have supported DREAM Fund and the people we have helped over the year. It’s a day filled with belief. Belief is the knowledge that we can do something. It’s the inner feeling that what we undertake, we can accomplish. So in belief, there is power; our eyes are opened; our opportunities become plain; our visions become realities,” said Kathy Sparks, President DREAM Fund.

“When I was asked by DREAM Fund to combine our events and help raise money for DREAM Fund, I had to say yes,” said Steve Gaçonnier, CEO of Janimation. “It’s an opportunity for our advertising and communications community to make a difference in the lives of the coworkers around them. Hardship can fall on anyone at any time, it’s comforting to know DREAM Fund is there to make a contribution to assist those in a pinch.”

In addition to raising money for the DREAM Fund, the Chilanthropy will also continue its endeavor to fill the North Texas Food Bank before the holidays. Janimation’s 2014 Chilanthropy event was able to provide over 5,900 meals to the North Texas Food Bank!

“The North Texas Food Bank is so excited to be a beneficiary of the Chilanthropy Chili Cookoff Competition,” said Jan Pruitt, President and CEO of the North Texas Food Bank. “We know that food insecurity is an issue for 1 out of every 6 North Texans, and every dollar donated will help us provide access to 3 meals for our hungry neighbors.”
