3008 and award-winning Motion Design Creative Director Jesse James Jones, Jr., have entered into an exclusive collaboration to create a leading Motion Design, Visual Effects Division in Dallas, Texas. The new division will be an extension of 3008, led by Jesse and includes Senior Motion Designer Kristin Koch.
“As the demand for existing and emerging types of design for Film, TV, Streaming, Environmental, UI, VR, AR, and Mobile Media continues to grow, it is essential that we offer a creative and less traditional approach to bring the messages and experience to the end user. Jesse’s extensive experience, knowledge, and passion for motion design lets us do exactly that,” said Brent Herrington, Owner/Editor of 3008.
Jesse started his career as a Broadcast Designer at NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth and then continued to Post Op, Dallas to further his career in advertising and film. He also spent time designing and animating at Prologue Films in LA, working as a Senior Creative for Kyle Cooper. In 2011, he moved to Munich, Germany to become Creative Supervisor at KMS BLACKSPACE, where he focused on award-winning automotive and environmental media projects throughout Europe, Asia, and the U.S.
Jesse has directed and executed for Film, Television, Commercials, Environmental Media, VR, and AR projects. Among his credits are campaigns for Audi AG, Google, BMW, ESPN, Infiniti, Ford, GM, Hyundai, AMC, Germany Trade and Invest, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Warner Brothers, and EA Sports. Some of his favorite projects include designing film titles, commercial graphics, and content for 360-degree physical installations, massive LED installations and IMAX.
“We’re constantly evolving how we communicate and it’s transcending itself before our eyes. The creative approach is quite unlimited, especially with so many emerging technologies. It’s a very exciting time to experience media, as a participant, as an observer, and as a creator. A simple image can start a revolution, a chord can emotionally imprint itself upon you forever and altogether it begs to be shared. It’s communicative, and essential for humankind,” said Jesse.
Having just completed his first package of spots for TXU Energy via The Richards Group, Jesse said, “It was great to get the band back together again and work on creative ideas with clients that have the long-standing trust and willingness to allow me to present and execute a vision that is heartfelt, creative, and genuinely fun. I tell you what…it’s great to be back in Texas.”
When he’s not experimenting with design and technology, Jesse enjoys the Gelassenheit (German for serenity) of cycling in Europe and the U.S., hiking in the Alps with his family, discovering obscure music, and eating Würstle mit Scharfem Senf (sausages with spicy mustard). And yes, that’s his real name.
