Event Horizon Films and Sherril Actors Studio Produce DIFF’s 1st Ever Table Read Sessions

Dallas Actors Performing Live Table Reads of Winning Scripts from the DIFF 2024 Screenplay Competition

“Sherrill Actors Studio is excited to collaborate with Dallas International Film Festival and Event Horizon Films by casting the roles for their script competition table reads,” Sherrill said. “Sherrill Actors Studio is a holistic Meisner based TV and film acting studio. We specialize in producing actors who work.”

The DIFF Screenplay Competition, presented by Event Horizon Films, encourages writers to submit scripts for feature films, television pilots, and short films for feedback, networking opportunities and a variety of prizes.  Each script is reviewed by readers at top talent agencies and management companies in the industry. A selection of high-profile filmmakers determine the winners. Script titles and details will be revealed ahead of DIFF’s first scheduled table read.

“It was another great year of incredible stories,” said Jodi Frizzell, executive producer, Event Horizon Films. “Many of which are worthy of being produced and screened. We’re thankful to DIFF for granting us the opportunity to share three of the winning scripts through these panel sessions. They are sure to be fun reads for the actors, and the audience.”
