Honest Performance but Talent Drank the Props

Ben Hoffman, directing for Noonday Pictures, met with Four Corners Brewery over a beer. One of their beers, to be exact. El Chingon is a small-batch IPA brewed in Oak Cliff, Texas, an eclectic, down-to-earth Dallas neighborhood.

Shooting on location in environments with as much personality as the ‘talent’, Hoffman – supported with a small, highly mobile crew including DP Mark Fisher – easily covered 20 setups in 2 short days.

“Using real people can be a challenge but the reward in this case is authenticity. Four Corners is all about an authentic connection to the neighborhood where the brewery ‘grew up.’ Real folks in their own shops created honest performances…however, they drank the props.” – Ben Hoffman
