Interview with Carl Warner-Former TRG Group Creative Head – Now CCO at HCategory

AdChat DFW had the opportunity to sit down with Carl Warner, former President of JWT Atlanta/Dallas/Houston and former Group Creative Head at The Richards Group and now Principal and Chief Creative Officer with HCategory, an Idea Company.  This interview covers topics ranging from why Carl chose advertising as a profession to his creative problem-solving philosophy.

HCategory is a company not confined by category, and is aptly named. HC is a cycling term that rates hill climbs that fall outside the normal categorization of 1-4, and is designated Hors Catégorie, or “beyond categorization”.  Carl, being an avid cyclist was inspired by this idea and named his new company HCategory, because he believes great ideas are the keys to solving problems—whatever industry or category those problems lie within.

During his career, Carl has created campaigns for brands like Ford, Lexus, Bud Light, Tabasco, the United Stated Marine Corps and many more. Now he’s working to build brands through great ideas at HCategory.
